About Dental Insurance

The majority of our patients participate in employer-sponsored dental benefit plans.  Generally, these plans fall into two major categories.

In preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans, dentists contract with the plan to provide discounted fees in exchange for access to the plan's members.  Dr. Hipp and Dr. Lawson are contracted providers for the plans listed below.

With traditional indemnity plans, patients are free to choose any dentist, but benefits are based on an arbitrary regional fee structure determined by the insurance company.  These are usually referred to as Usual,Customary and Reasonable fees, or UCR.  Dr. Hipp and Dr Lawson accept all traditional indemnity plans.

Our staff will be happy to help you fully understand your coverage, and will submit your claims properly to ensure that you obtain the maximum benefits available.
